What Pups & Tots is all about!
About us
Starting Pups & Tots Village isn’t just about creating a business—it’s about creating real, systemic change. It’s born from my personal journey as a single mom, full-time corporate employee, and small business owner, constantly navigating a world that wasn’t built for people like me.
For years, I do it all—working a full-time corporate job, managing my dog-sitting business, and raising two kids without family support. I’m constantly torn between responsibilities. 100% of the time, I’m on my own, balancing everything while feeling the weight of society’s unspoken expectation that women, especially mothers, should simply manage it all. I often work through illness, through COVID, through exhaustion—and there’s no one to step in for me.
I remember days when I’d walk 10 dogs in the pouring rain and still be there for my kids, handling meals, schoolwork, and everything in between—all while barely having time to care for myself. I push through because I feel like I have to. But here’s the truth: Just because we can do it all, doesn’t mean we should have to.
As women, we’re often expected to juggle multiple roles—professional, caregiver, homemaker—with no system in place to help us manage. This isn’t sustainable, and it’s not the way things should be. I realized that life is delicate, and our health—physical, emotional, and mental—should never be something we sacrifice to keep everything running.
That’s why I started Pups & Tots Village. It’s not just about providing childcare and pet care; it’s about challenging the system that expects us to do it all alone. It’s about creating a community where women and families are supported, where we have access to the resources, help, and self-care we need to thrive.
This journey isn’t just about a service—it’s about a movement to change the way we approach family life. When we take care of ourselves, we take care of our families, our communities, and ultimately, our world. This isn’t just a business; it’s about creating real, systemic change—one that recognizes the invisible burdens women carry every day, and provides a village to lift that weight.
Let’s start building a new system—one where we thrive together instead of just surviving. Together, we can change the narrative and make the world a more supportive place for families and women.
Our Mission
“At Pups & Tots Village, our mission is to provide a nurturing environment for both children and dogs, allowing families to thrive amidst their busy lives. We deliver exceptional care and engaging activities that promote growth, happiness, and well-being.”
June Dhar, a devoted single mother of two, knows firsthand the challenges of balancing parenting, work, and life’s demands. While juggling multiple jobs and running a dog-sitting business, she often struggled to find the support she needed to manage her responsibilities. When she was laid off during a difficult economic period, June saw an opportunity to address a critical gap in resources for families. Drawing on her personal experiences, she founded Pups & Tots Village, a unique business that combines exceptional childcare and dog care services under one roof. With a deep commitment to community and connection, June created Pups & Tots Village to help families find balance and peace of mind. Her goal is to provide safe, enriching, and reliable care that supports both children and pets, ensuring every family member thrives.

Donna
Operations Manager/Driver/Nanny
Description:
I am a mother to one daughter and she is the world to me. As a driver, I understand the importance of ensuring all children are taken care of under my watch (truly as if they were my own). I have worked with autistic children as well as head coached for middle school and Palo Alto club volleyball.
I also have extensive experience in preclinical research but I find teaching and caring for children quite a blessing. My passion is to help children and teens develop to be the best version of themselves.
During my downtime, I enjoy continuing my practice with classical piano, hiking, swimming, and spending much time with family.
Brenda
Driver
Description:
Hi, my name is Brenda. I am a mother of 5 beautiful children. I spend my free time out with my family at parks & museum’s, exploring & enjoying what life has to offer. Growing up, I was always the go to sitter for my family, friends & neighbors. But nothing beats my own personal experience and knowledge as a mom that my kids have given me.
As a mom, I understand the difficulty in entrusting someone else to watch over your kids. It’s hard, you’re not alone. Pups&Tots Village has given me a new outlook on that, and I feel confident in sharing that with others. Being able to meet families and bring them comfort knowing their kids are safe with us, just like I would like one to do for me. I can reassure parents that their kids will be cared for as if they were my own.
I’ve gotten the opportunity to meet some awesome kids! Working for this company has been a blessing, having a job that lets me do something I love (working with kids & driving) plus I can take my baby with me! It doesn’t get any better than that!
Alma
Driver
Description:
Hi, my name is Alma.
I am a mother of a one year old boy. I’ve worked in a daycare in the past and was also a driver for special needs kids by picking them up from home to take them to school. I love making sure all kids get to school/daycare safely, the same way I’d love for someone to take care of my son when the time comes.
I have really enjoyed working with different kids these past few years. Before this I was a stay at home mom but, now working with Pups&TotsVillage has given me the opportunity to bring my son along with me. He loves meeting all the kids I get to give rides to, plus seeing the excitement in their little faces when they see him brings me even more joy and comfort knowing that they feel safe with us.
When I’m not working with these lovely kids, I am at home watching movies, coloring, and just spending time with my family.
